Lonely Soldier

An illustration I did for a cover for an album of heavy metal band called "Fire From Heaven". The band had the idea of a knight alone in a rocky, foggy, dangerous environment where it's starting to snow. The main idea to express was solitude and dark fantasy.
First I started doing sketches to know what kind of environment and knight the client was interested in. Next I did the 3D base to have a solid starting point to finally overpaint it. At the end also wanted to do an animation because I though that would be cool see it in movement.
